CERTESS ® X Chromium Nitride Coating (Non-stoichiometric)

CERTESS X is an excellent hard chrome replacement for many applications.

CERTESS X Chromium Nitride coatingis a hard (1800 HV) PVD film, which is typically deposited in the thickness range of 2 to 8 μm and is the non-stoichiometric counterpart of CERTESS N.

CERTESS X coatings provide temperature resistance up to 700°C - higher than titanium nitride coatings. Like most HEF PVD coatings, CERTESS X is chemically inert.

CERTESS X is most advantageous for applications where friction properties, and resistance to adhesion and abrasive wear, are important. It is also a highly recommended PVD coating for use on plastic molds, extrusion dies and forming, flanging & drawing tool applications.

CERTESS X is an excellent hard chrome replacement.
