CERTESS DTMO is a lubricious multilayer coating applied by a combination of PVD and PECVD (plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition), utilizing HEF's proprietary CAM technology. This coating is harder version of CERTESS DTMO. The layers are deposited with no significant effect on surface geometry or part dimensions.
CERTESS DTMO films are tribological coatings that are ideally suited for applications that require a moderate degree of abrasion resistance, reduced adhesive wear (anti-seizure & anti-scuffing properties) coupled with friction reduction – medium load gears, roller bearings, molds & dies, dry or semi-dry punching & forming, armaments. Temperature resistance is up to 300°C. Deposited films are 2 to 4 μm, tailored to the application; hardness ranges from 1700 to 1900 HV and Young's modulus in the range of 130-140 GPa.
