CERTESS SD coatings provide temperature resistance up to 800°C. Like most HEF PVD coatings, Certess SD is chemically inert. Processing temperature is at a minimum 300°C.
CERTESS SD is most advantageous for die-casting mold applications to counter soldering, heat-checking and wear issues. It can also be used for applications that require an exceptionally hard surface for abrasive wear resistance.
